Why is Hvar Half one of a kind?

This unique half-marathon allows you to experience some of the most picturesque views on the island. The race starts in Stari Grad, Hvar and leads you though the charming villages of Selca and Brusje. Along the way there are stunning panoramic views of the neighboring island of Brač, lavender fields and the shimmering sea. The route is uphill for around 10 km, with the first 5 km being the toughest once you reach the village Selca. After there is an easy downhill for the rest of the race until you reach the city of Hvar.

The map above shows the detailed info about the route. The water stations are at 5 km in Selca, 10 km at Vidikovac that is perched right between Stari Grad and Hvar with views of both the north and south side of the island stretching all the way to island Vis and Italy. The last water station is at 15 km in the picturesque village of Brusje.

So if you are on holiday in Hvar, be sure to sign up for an experience of a life time! As much as the route is challenging, the views and the energizing Hvar atmosphere are surely there to fully compensate. See you there!
