Regardless of which type of transportation you choose, undoubtedly you will experience a crystalline Adriatic Sea journey to Hvar island.

GETTING TO HVAR BY CAR

If you are travelling to Hvar by car, depending on your starting point, you will need to go through Zagreb or Rijeka to reach Split with main Croatian highway A1.

Example routes:
✓ Vienna-Graz-Maribor-Zagreb-Split
✓ Munich-Salzburg-Villach-Ljubljana-Split
✓ From Split you take the ferry: Split - Stari Grad(2 hours).

Travelling Hint: Departure port is Split and port of arrival is Stari Grad (Hvar), which is 20 min away by car from the city of Hvar. Without reservations, passengers with a car are recommended to arrive at the ferry port at least 1 and a half to 2 hours before departure in high season. If you would like to reserve your tickets in advance, you may do so via the official Jadrolinija Mobile App: “mJadrolinija” (please note, once you reserve your tickets you must arrive at the ferry port 1 hour before departure). Car petrol stations in Hvar are available in Jelsa and Hvar town, and are open throughout the day during summer season.
