Croatia is definitely the European Caribic situated in the Adriatic, with its 1185 islands and islets (some of them still uninhabited) and extensive shores this Central European country has been Europe's Prime Location for Island hopping and small cruises with private boats. The Caribbean by comparison has around 115 islands and approximately 2000 rocky islets.
But let’s start with the showdown:
No.1 - THE BEACHES
Even though both have crystal clear
azure blue and emerald waters, obviously those white sandy beaches have a special charm.
No.2 - TOWNS TO EXPLORE
The unrivaled charm of rich history spread all over its picturesque towns
from ancient Greek temples to Reinassance architecture definitely wins over the Caribbean (mostly car jam packed and crowded) towns.
No.3 - SAFETY
No further explanation needed. ;) Sorry.
No.4 - FAMOUS STAGES
The town of Dubrovnik is the set of King's Landing (Game of Thrones) while Pirates of the Caribbean sequels have been filmed on the Caribbean.
No.5 - FOOD
Caribbean cuisine is a fusion of African, Amerindian, European, East Indian, Arab and Chinese cuisine while Croatian cuisine is a fusion of Turkish, Austrian and Mediterranean cuisine
Both are delicious so this is definitely a tie!
The Result: CROATIA 49 points vs. CARIBBEAN 41 point
Croatia definitely beats the Caribbean!
