The closest city to Hvar island with an international airport is Split. DUBROVNIK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Dubrovnik international airport is located 20 kilometers south of Dubrovnik city center and is almost the southernmost point of Croatia. Numerous airlines operate out of this airport, including some that offer cheap flights to Dubrovnik. Brač airport also called Bol airport is situated on the Croatian island of Brač close to Hvar. This airport is used for commercial passenger flights, mainly charter traffic from Europe during the summer season.
The national airline, Croatia Airlines, operates flights to Brač only from Zagreb and Graz. During high season, other legacy airlines also operate direct flights to Brač from a number of European cities: Graz, Innsbruck, Vienna, Düsseldorf, Leipzig/Halle, Linz, Malmö.
ANCONA AIRPORT (HYDROPLANE)
As of November 13, 2015, European Coastal Airlines hydroplanes connect the Italian airport of Ancona (Falconara) to Split (Resnik) and Rijeka airport. The total flight duration is of just 59 minutes and includes one stop in Rijeka. The seaplane services operated by the German carrier stand as a practical and convenient alternative to long trips by ferry and bus and represent the first international route operated by the company after the success achieved connecting the Croatian islands. The flights from Ancona are departing four times a week (weather permitting), on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. STEP 2: HOW TO REACH HVAR
FROM SPLIT AIRPORT TO HVAR
Plane to Plane
Whether you travel for business or pleasure and time is a matter then choose to fly to Hvar. As of 2014, the European Coastal Airlines are operating the route from Split Airport at Sea to Jelsa (Hvar) which lasts only 13 minutes and provides its spectators with breathtaking views all over the unique Dalmatian archipelago. From Jelsa the easiest way to reach your preferred hotel in Hvar is to pre-book a car transfer which will wait for you at the terminal and take care of your luggage all the way to your hotel since the majority of roads in Hvar are opened only to pedestrians and official vehicles.

FROM BRAČ AIRPORT TO HVAR
