DO YOU NEED A CAR ON HVAR?

My answer would be – definitely no! What makes Hvar even more special is that a next great party, delicious dinner, historical wonder, breathtaking bay or your morning cup of coffee is just a 5 minutes walk away.

So lets start walking. If you walk from Sirena, a beautiful bay with turquoise clear water, in 10-15 minutes you will be at Hula Hula, famous after beach party place known for its amazing sunsets, and few minutes away from Hula Hula is Falco, beach bar to visit if you feel like chilling and relaxing. After 3 minutes walk from Hula Hula you will come to Maestral and Splash lounge bar, where in 2014 there will be some serious, traditional Balkan Grill going around. This is the bay in front of Amfora hotel with magnificent Cascades pool and beach, connected with Bonj 'les bains'- luxury beach club that offers Thai and traditional massages, delicious light lunch and romantic dinners.

Further towards the town, again 3 minutes walk away is Delfin hotel and Sports bar- one and only in Hvar, and it will sure be the hot spot for the World Cup in Brasil next summer. 3 local restaurants away from Delfin is Adriana, hvar spa hotel, which is the most luxurious hotel in town. On the 4th floor of Adriana is Top Bar known for magnificent view over the Hvar bay and town center, and on the ground floor is Black Agnus steak house, formerly known as Butchery&Wine restaurant. This is already a city center and place where fun starts. You are on the party street where Aloha, Kiva, Nautica and Sidro bars are- you won't miss it as that's where the younger crowd will be. Just 2 minutes from Adriana at the main square is hotel Palace, a central, beautiful historical building, best known for the San Marco Terrace and Italian restaurant- you can dine in the center, not being disturbed by the peak season crowd, but still be in the center of the action looking it from the different perspective.

A minute away from Palace, once when you pass Arsenal and 400 year old theater in front of which are all those small boats that will take you to Palmižana or other bays on Pakleni Islands and around, is Riva hotel and BB Club- a club to watch in 2014 season. Also that is the place where your ferry to Hvar will dock on its arrival and departure and on the left and the right of the hotel are Pelegrini and Jadrolinija, places where you buy your ferry tickets. Next to Jadrolinija is legendary Carpe Diem Hvar in town and amazing fish restaurant Gariful just next to it. Further down is a bay where hotel Dalmacija, beach and the Francis Monastery are.

If you want to see an inland of the island, Jeep Safari tour is a must or you can easily rent a car for a day or a boat for even better experience. Hvar is by itself a walking tour of history, legends, hedonism and adventure.
