Gift certificate terms & conditions

These terms and conditions govern the purchase and use of gift certificates issued by Sunčani Hvar d.d.:

1. Gift certificates are issued by Sunčani Hvar d.d., Dolac bb, 21450 Hvar, Croatia.
2. Gift certificates may only be used for whole or partial payment in any of Sunčani Hvar hotels. Gift certificates are redeemable subject to availability.
3. All room bookings exchanged for gift certificates must be pre-booked. The gift certificates must be presented upon check-in at the hotel prior to any services being used.
4. Certificate holders will inform the hotel of their intention to use certificates before arrival at the hotel, at the time of reservation.
5. Gift certificates may not be exchanged entirely or partially for cash nor will any change be given.
6. A guest will be asked to fill the gift certificate order form together with credit card authorization form. Sunčani Hvar d.d. will charge the gift certificate value, shipping and handling fee on guest's credit card. Shipping and handling fee will be charged in the amount of €45.
7. Gift certificates are valid for 18 months from the date of issue and may not be redeemed beyond that period.
8. Gift certificates are issued in Euros. The amount on the certificate will be converted into the local currency value (Croatian Kunas) at the time of check-out.
9. Sunčani Hvar d.d. reserves the right to change these conditions without notice. The changes will be published on Sunčani Hvar Hotels website.
10. Costumer must make sure that all the information provided to us when purchasing gift certificates is true and accurate.
11. In an effort to minimise the effects of credit card fraud, we reserve the right to carry out random checks and may request you to either fax or post to us proof of your address and a copy of the credit card with recent statement before issuing any gift certificates.
12. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Sunčani Hvar d.d. regarding your purchase and use of gift certificates which means that you will not be able to claim that we have made any representations or warranties other than contained in these Terms and Conditions. However, we will always be liable to you if we make a fraudulent statement to you.
13. These Terms and Conditions (and any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim of whatever nature arising out of or in any way relating to these Terms and Conditions) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Croatian law. You irrevocably agree that only the courts of Croatia shall hear and decide any suit, action or proceedings, and/or to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions. You may therefore not bring any actions against us in a court outside Croatia.
